👮 Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team is committed to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and making our neighbourhood a safer place for everyone.

💡 Stay aware of your surroundings, trust your instincts, and look out for friends, family and neighbours. If you see someone being harassed or made to feel unsafe, report it when it is safe to do so.

📢 Did you know? 

There is now a new offence under Section 4B of the Public Order Act 1986. It is an offence to intentionally cause harassment, alarm or distress to someone because of their sex. This helps police take action against abusive, threatening or harassing behaviour targeted at a person. This includes cat calling, inapprioate comments.

🗣️ Speak up and report it. Have you experienced an incident of harassment, abuse or threatening behaviour? If so, please contact us. Your report could help protect someone else, identify repeat offenders and enable us to take positive action.
